Ball mill
Description:
The mill is cylinder rotating device with girth gear and two chambers. Thematerials are fed to first chamber through hollow shaft through feeding device. There is stepped liner or waves liners and different size of balls inside this chamber. After finishing in first chamber, the materials will be fed to second chamber. There is flat liners and balls inside second chamber, which will grind the materials once again. After grinding, the powder will be discharged and then finish grinding works.

ShellThis ball mill is horizontal shell rotating device, mainly consist of shell, mill door and liner bolts. So we required to check the mill when shut down, especially to check the liners on shell and mill door.
Liner
The liners are used for protect shell in order to avoid damage to shell, please check liners regularly to avoid any loose because of bolts etc.
Diaphragm
Diaphragm is used to separate grinding media to avoid axial movement of media and large size move to next chamber. It can make suitable grinding for materials and control filling grade, material flow, and grinding speed inside mill.
Diaphragm plate is consist of central circle, feed cone, grate plate, lifting plate, liner, diaphragm support and blind plate. Please check if there is any loose, missing of bolts, to check the condition of grate plate and blind plate, if there is any crack or influence to grate plate and check if there is any movement of balls.
Main bearing
Bearing is used to bear the weight of rotated part also impact of grinding media. The mill is supported on main bearing by hollow shaft. There is bearing cover, watch hole, temperature gauge on bearing housing.
Feeding and discharging device
Feeding device is used to feed materials into mill, there is chute feeding device, screw feeding device and ladle feeding device. The discharging device is consist of discharging grate plate, guide cone, lifting plate, discharging cylinder, drive connecting tube,drum screen, discharging cover, coarse tube etc.
Drive device
Drive device is consist of speed motor, slow drive motor, slow reducer and speed reducer. Mainly check: if there is any overheat and noise of reducer oil pump. And check working condition of each elements such as pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and if there is any oil leakage, oil level and oil color of oil tank. Please adjust oil flow as per weather condition; check if there is any noise of main oil pump etc.
