Introduction

China's domestic demand and import and export volume of aluminum alloys and rare earth silicon-magnesium alloys have grown rapidly, and the amount of magnesium has also increased dramatically. In 2010, the amount of magnesium reached 50,000 tons. In order to make full use of dolomite resources in various regions and improve the industrial structure, Jiangsu Pengfei Group developed and produced metal magnesium rotary kiln.
 

Process plan

The magnesium smelting plant chooses the silicon thermal method for magnesium smelting production process. The process flow is simple and requires little investment, with a short construction period and no pollution. It is suitable for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Under normal conditions, the crude magnesium produced per 100 kg of pellets is stable at 12-15 kg, and the refining recovery rate is over 92%. Analysis of the technical and economic indicators of manufacturers using different fuels shows that there is no significant difference in the life of the reduction tank between the coal-fired and gas-fired reduction furnaces. Under the same condition for each tank of crude magnesium (according to 12 kg of crude magnesium per tank), the thermal energy cost of gas is 2277 yuan / ton of crude magnesium higher than coal combustion. In terms of construction investment, the gas station infrastructure investment accounts for about 30% of the total investment, rotary kiln investment accounts for about 20% of the total investment in the magnesium plant.
