The rotary kiln is used more and more widely. It is used in aluminum production to bake alumina. In iron making, it is used to produce pellets for blast furnace iron making. It is used for direct reduction of iron ore, and it is used to extract tin and lead by chlorination volatilization roasting method. In the process of beneficiation, the lean iron ore is magnetized and roasted in a rotary kiln, so that the original weak magnetism of the ore is changed into strong magnetism, so as to facilitate the magnetic separation. In the chemical industry, the production of soda, calcination of phosphate fertilizer, barium sulfide, etc. by rotary kiln has the advantages of using low and medium grade phosphate rock, which has been vigorously promoted. It is used to calcine clay, limestone and slag for drying. In the production of refractories, raw materials are calcined in rotary kiln to make their size stable, strength increased, and then processed. In the aspect of environmental protection, the cement kiln is used to burn hazardous wastes and garbage, so as to realize the harmless discharge of wastes, use wastes as fuel, save coal powder, and realize the resource application of wastes.
